    a BigSpoon story

    Hi! I'm Tina Fogall. In 2011, I graduated from Bastyr University with a degree in Nutrition and Culinary Arts. My journey into whole foods began as a child but comes full circle into what I do today.

    I never liked jam. As a kid, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich was something of a torture device. That was until I made my first jam at Quillisascut Farm School. It was like a light bulb went on: Jam could be wonderful, it could be delectable, it could have integrity — it didn't have to be the over-cooked, over-sweetened fruit of so many commercial preserves.

    And from there, I filled my shelves and refrigerator with jars and jars and jars of jam, procuring as much beautiful fruit as I could from the best farmers I could find. This is my joy in life. And BigSpoon Jam is my way to live the life I love. Creating unique flavors in small batches, utilizing honey as a main sweetener, and crafting lovingly and thoughtfully is the BigSpoon way.
